What you need for PTI - Vehicle preparation
1. A regular technical inspection or emission inspection requires the submission of:
The vehicle operator or the vehicle driver submits for regular technical inspection, special technical inspection and administrative technical inspection:
- vehicle document or seizure confirmation, if it is a vehicle for which the vehicle document is seized, or an extract from the vehicle card issued by the Police Force, if the vehicle document is lost,
- protocol on the installation of the gas device, if it is a vehicle with a liquefied petroleum gas drive or with a natural gas drive, if the installation of the gas device is carried out as part of the conversion of the vehicle,
- a written document on the completion of the vehicle repair issued by an authorized repair shop or an independent repair shop, if it is a vehicle according to § 45 par. 1 letter d) Act no. 106/2018 Coll.
- confirmation of installation of foils, if the vehicle has them affixed - the rear foil MUST NOT cover the brake lights
2. Mandatory equipment
- warning triangle homologated according to EHK regulation No. 27
- reflective clothing, which must be placed within the driver's reach
- spare wheel, manual jack, wrench for nuts or bolts, or means for repairing a damaged tire without disassembly
- car first aid kit (check possible damage and completeness)
3. Clean vehicle
- the vehicle must have a legible vehicle registration number, production number (VIN) and production plate, they must be washed and cleaned
4. Glasses
- no objects may be placed in the driver's field of vision
- the glazing of the vehicle must be integral
- the windshield must not have cracks with a diameter greater than 20 mm
- there must be no shading films on the windshield or on the front side windows, on the other windows only approved films with an approval mark and a confirmation of the installation of the films
5. Lighting
- all lights on the vehicle must be functional
- the manual or automatic height adjustment of the lights must also be functional
- vehicles with discharge lights must have automatic collision mitigation. lights and headlight cleaning
6. Horn
- check the functionality of the sound and light warning sign
7. Tires
- the minimum tread depth is 1.6 mm
- check if the tires are in order (including the spare) - no damage
- the tires must be approved and recorded in the vehicle document submitted
8. Brakes
- you can't check the effectiveness and symmetry of the brakes in an amateur way, you can check the effectiveness of the parking (hand) brake on an incline
- check the brake fluid level
9. Operating fluids
- check the washer fluid level
- the vehicle must not have an obvious leak of any operating fluid (water, fuel, oil, brake fluid, washer fluid)
10. Vehicle identification
- the vehicle data listed in the vehicle document must correspond to the actual condition of the vehicle
11. Puklice
- remove the hubs from the vehicle before the inspection
12. Warming up the engine
- the vehicle submitted for Emission Control must have the engine warmed up to operating temperature
